Originally from country Victoria, Lyn is currently serving with Wycliffe Australia as the Finance Officer for SIL Australia. SILA is a Higher Education provider of essential training for new Wycliffe members and for anyone intending to live and work in another culture. This training is an important part of the preparation for field assignments, especially for those going to work in translation and literacy roles. Having studied and worked in the maths/science area, Lyn completed a Diploma in Business Accounting in 1998 and wondered if God could use this in some way. After praying for two to three years about where he wanted her to be, God clearly led her to Wycliffe where she commenced working in 2003. The work of Bible translation and literacy is so important in reaching the marginalised people groups around the world with the gospel. Lyn is very glad to be supporting such a work through her gifting in the area of finance.
