Melody, along with her husband, Paul, and their three children, moved to Darwin, Northern Territory in 2019. Melody is putting her background of indigenous language support and translation into a new role with AuSIL, as publicist. She takes the old stories and the new projects and communicates them to the wider church public through print and other media to increase awareness and support for the work of the team. There is often overlap between her role as a Wycliffe Australia member and Paul's work representing the Bible Society in the Northern Territory through the same office.
Melody is originally from Canada. Paul and Melody served with another mission in Siberia for 12 years, working with semi-nomadic indigenous people groups, previous to settling back in Australia in 2018. Melody is pleased to find a context where her understanding of indigenous perspectives is appreciated and continues to grow.
