Betty and Sebastian are passionate about Bible translation in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and their desire is to support the work of Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) through their professions. They have had years of experience living and working in PNG and are grateful to return and contribute to the work of Bible translation. Betty is a psychologist and will work in the department of Literacy and Learning. Sebastian is a commercial pilot and will fly fixed wing aircraft with Jungle Aviation And Relay Service (JAARS), the aviation partner of SIL.

Mission aviation is essential in PNG, one of the most inaccessible countries in the world with more than 800 spoken languages, around 160 of which do not have the Bible in their own heart language. Let’s tackle this challenge together by partnering with the Kurz family.
