Tanya, an experienced primary school teacher and trained literacy worker, joined Wycliffe Australia in December 2013 as a short-term member. After serving in Uakarumpa, PNG, for two years (2015-2017), Tanya was invited to join the team at SIL Australia (2018- July 2022) supporting staff and students training in language development work (e.g. Bible Translation and literacy work) through administration.
In September 2022, Tanya was accepted as a full member of Wycliffe Australia. SIL Australia (SILA) then invited Tanya to continue with them in a new role based in Melbourne. SILA is currently building a team for language development work with diaspora communities of Australia seeking support with orality, literacy, translation, and language development training.
Tanya is currently rebuilding her Partnership Team while continuing to volunteer in administration at SILA and Wycliffe Australia's bookroom. She hopes to begin her new role at SILA sometime in 2023.
