Can you read Chinese, Bahasa or Arabic? We are looking for a Prayer Profiles Researcher who can find out about the context and needs of language communities that lack access to the Bible. In many cases, there is rich information for prayer, but it is not in English. By working with us and accessing these resources written in Chinese or Bahasa Indonesia or Arabic, you will help inform the praying Church and bless these communities. You can work from home or wherever you are. We are a global team of researchers and writers that work online.

You can work a few hours a week or more – it depends on your availability. This role also works collaboratively as part of a global team of researchers and writers from various organisations, including Wycliffe, including SIL, Seed Company and Joshua Project.

Responsibilities:

• read information written in Chinese, Bahasa or Arabic about language groups that need Bible translation;
• find the information that we need and share this in English with the team (either by speaking or in writing);
• work closely with other researchers and prayer profile writers;
• work well with the team of prayer profile researchers, writers and disseminators.

Qualifications:

• proficiency in reading Chinese or Bahasa Indonesia or Arabic
• some research experience or a willingness to work closely with an experienced researcher
• reasonable ability to communicate in English (spoken and/or written)
• ability to work with an online team.
