Project 8517
This project is for building a permanent house in the village in PNG where Narelle Barnsley works; in order to better help the Kanja people with the task of Bible translation. The project will involve the cost of materials to build the house, transportation costs and the cost of labour for those building the house. The local people will help with providing timber, cooking food for the workers and extra help needed with the housebuilding.
The Kanja people desire to have God’s Word in their own language. Having a house in the village will make it easier for Narelle to help them with this task as she will have space to store needed materials and also space to work with people on translation. As the house will be a permanent house, it will also mean that the people will not have to rebuild a bush house for Narelle every few years, which would take them away from the task of Bible translation.
