Be part of preparing others to participate in bringing God’s Word into the hearts of individuals and communities of language groups around the world.
Wycliffe Australia is committed to preparing members for any cross-cultural role by having them undertake Launch, a summer course offered by SIL Australia which helps students understand and appreciate different languages and cultures, and provide them with the skills to plan and pursue their own learning of a new language wherever they may go. Those who will take part in translation, literacy, and other language related roles require further specialised training, and in many cases this is offered by SIL International, such as the Undergraduate and Graduate courses offered by SIL Australia.
In addition to training those who will go to other countries, there is a great need for training to be available to local language speakers who are involved in translation and literacy work in their own language, or who wish to be involved in a language project in another language in their own country.
