It was a dramatic film called ‘Mountain of Light’ that convinced Jenny, in 1977, that God was calling her to be involved in the task of Bible translation. The film graphically showed how much minority people groups need the Lord and that the Scriptures in their language had the power to transform lives.
Jenny has been working with Wycliffe for 35 years in various roles because she loves the Lord and his Word and wants to be involved in an occupation that has eternal significance. Initially she was a translator’s assistant in PNG, but the majority of her career has been in support roles. For the past 20 years she has served at the National Office as the Assignments Coordinator: doing job placement for new members and also more lately, as the Applications Coordinator: preparing for membership those who want to join the Bible translation ministry team.
