Getting God’s Word to everyone in the language they understand best is what inspired John and Sharon to join Wycliffe. John develops computer programs that help with the whole process of studying a language, doing a translation, and publishing it in various formats. He also helps train and lead other developers. His main current project is Bloom, a program to help people with limited computer skills easily create literacy materials for their own minority language groups. Becoming skilled readers helps people in many ways, including reading Scripture.

Sharon supports John in this work and also has responsibilities connected with the care of her elderly mother.
