From 2010 to 2012 Lola networked with Papua New Guinean churches, Australian teacher trainers and both local and international donors to facilitate the training of literacy teachers in PNG. She is now working with SIL Pacific Area networking with stakeholders and facilitating cross-cultural meetings aiming to advance Bible translation. This included helping to facilitate the SIL Pacific leaders meeting in Brisbane in 2017, the Asia-Pacific SIL leaders meeting in Bali in 2018 and the Global SIL leaders meeting in Bangkok, also in 2018.
Lindsay has been an economics researcher for 20 years, with a focus on finding solutions and developing better ways of doing things. He will now be applying these skills to help SIL Pacific Area. His current projects include a case study of a PNG community: investigating the economic impact of missions. He is also working with Lola to explore how to link Pacific Islanders living in Australia with Bible translation projects back in their home communities.
