Wycliffe Australia sent 12 people on a ‘Discovery Trip’ to Papua New Guinea in September. Friends from SIL PNG enabled them to experience a range of important work that supports Bible translation. The team enjoyed visiting translation departments, schools, a village clinic, and meeting the communities in lowlands villages. Unfortunately, they also got to experience a medical evacuation when one of the team members became extremely sick.

One of the team leaders, Helen Sahl, shares:

We thank God for the great help of the community, clinic staff, aviation workers and for the prayers of the people for our dear team mate who was in good hands and is recovering well. Undoubtedly, we will all go home changed by this incredibly full and moving two weeks – sharing in the joys and sorrows of life and ministry with many people.
