At eight years old, God placed in Anne’s heart a passion for Bible translation when a Wycliffe member spoke about her translation work in PNG at Anne’s Sunday school. On her journey towards translation, Anne studied linguistics and ESL teaching at university. She then worked in Sydney as an English teacher to international students before studying at the Sydney Missionary and Bible College in Sydney. She recently completed her training with SILA at Kangaroo Ground.

While looking into possible locations, Anne was struck by the big need for Bible translation right here in our own backyard: Australia. This led her to West Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, where she now works alongside Indigenous people as a translation advisor. Along with helping to run multi-language workshops across the Top End, her main focus is working with Mawng speakers from Warruwi (South Goulburn Island) to translate the Bible and create Scripture engagement materials.
