Martin and Maureen, both widowed, met by 'divine appointment' in 2008 and were married in 2009. Martin had retired from business and joined Wycliffe in the UK, encouraging churches to partner with a people group where Bible translation and literacy work was undertaken by indigenous teams. He has two daughters, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren in the UK.
Maureen has four children and ten grandchildren in Australia and has been involved in many church and mission groups, including Wycliffe UK from 2009 to 2011. Now their main base is in Australia, with regular visits to Martin’s family. They are now Wycliffe Representatives for Greater Sydney and Maureen is Member Care Regional Coordinator for NSW/ACT. They are keen to encourage churches as ‘senders’ to provide practical, personal and prayer support for their mission workers both at home and overseas.
