There’s a very exciting opportunity for young adults to work for 6-12 months as interns in Darwin, learning about Bible translation and Indigenous ministry. Wycliffe’s partner, the Australian Society for Indigenous Languages (AuSIL), is looking for individuals who are eager to work with Indigenous Australians, develop their translation skills and champion future Bible translation. Interns would be expected to partner with churches and friends to build a supporter base who can pray for them and cover their living and travel expenses.

Qualifications

• you must be a committed Christian, with a passion for seeing all people access the Bible
• strong cross-cultural communication and relational skills are essential
• candidates who have studied theology or linguistics would have an advantage
• strong proficiency in English is essential
• you must be willing to travel to remote communities for periods of time

Training

Theological and/or linguistic studies would be an advantage. You must be willing to do a cultural orientation course.
