Bruce Cox and Kathy Cummins have been working with four Tivoid languages, in the south west of Cameroon, in language development since 2008. This has involved building and maintaining relationships; learning one of the languages, Iceve; collecting, analysing and writing up linguistic data; helping the groups form language committees; helping those committees create a suitable alphabet and writing system for their language; helping people start writing and creating materials in the languages and liaising with others who want to help the groups. Bible translation began in Iceve with Oral Bible Storying in 2016. Now God has opened a window of opportunity for Iceve to be part of a Luke Partnership cluster in Nigeria, with the aim of having Luke published and the Jesus film dubbed by 2023. Keep praying for them, the other three languages and for Bruce and Kathy as they serve in Nigeria for this period.
