After several years of preparation, Mark and Caroline and their children arrived in Tanzania in 2006, where Mark served as a Translation Advisor in the Mbeya Cluster Project in southern Tanzania. In 2008, the family moved to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s port and commercial capital. Mark became Project Funding Coordinator for Uganda and Tanzania, while Caroline served in hospitality. January 2010 saw them again relocate, to the Sunshine Coast, where Mark continued serving remotely, visiting East Africa annually. In 2013, he joined Seed Company.

As Field Project Manager for Tanzania, Mark now works with partner organisations to design and manage translation projects. Caroline helps to care for Wycliffe members based in or returning to South-East Queensland.
Mark and Caroline have two daughters, Bethany and Amy, and a son, Daniel. The Ossolas are committed to seeing the communities of Tanzania transformed through access to God’s Word in the languages they understand best.
