Born and raised in Christian, mission-minded families, Noel and Catharine knew Jesus as Lord and Saviour at a young age. Having met through the local Christian university group in Hobart, Tasmania, they married in 2001 and have been blessed with daughter Aisha (2005) and sons Mark (2007) and Luke (2014).

Noel and Catharine continue as members of Wycliffe Australia (WBTA), after having completed a five-year secondment to MAF (Noel as a pilot) in north-east Arnhem Land. They remain living in the Yirrkala community to allow their children's education to continue locally.

Noel is WBTA's Regional Ministries Director - responsible for managing WBTA's state offices and promotions/recruiting staff located around Australia, while Catharine continues tutoring Yolngu educators at the local bilingual school in Yirrkala. They are still committed to seeing Yolngu people being physically and spiritually transformed in the name of Jesus Christ.
