Use your skills to help make Bible translation possible!
You don’t need to be a linguist or move overseas to play a part in Bible translation.

Wycliffe Australia relies on people who generously give their time, experience and skills to help advance our mission. Our volunteers serve alongside our staff and members in a wide variety of roles – some practical, some administrative, some technical and some ministry-focused.

Our needs change over time, so even if you don’t see your particular skill listed, we’d still love to hear from you.

Volunteers serve in Australia in regular or ongoing roles. Some volunteer a few hours each week, while others contribute more substantial time or assist with particular projects.

We’ll work with you to explore your skills, interests and availability and whether there is a suitable opportunity within Wycliffe Australia.

Our volunteers are part of the Wycliffe Australia staff team. They receive an identified supervisor, appropriate induction and support, and the resources and training needed for their role.

As part of our commitment to providing a safe environment, volunteer roles are subject to our application, screening and safeguarding requirements.

Not every opportunity to serve with Wycliffe requires becoming an ongoing volunteer.

We also have opportunities from time to time to participate in short-term activities, mission trips, work teams, projects, events and internships.

Teams may serve at Wycliffe Australia’s National Centre or provide practical assistance to a Wycliffe ministry, project or partner.

These opportunities are generally organised in response to a particular need.

Perhaps you already know exactly how you’d like to contribute. Perhaps you simply have some time and skills you’d like to offer.
