South Australia: Translation Treasures
Jonathan and Rachel Morgan moved to Tanzania in 2008. Jonathan worked as the Director of Finance and Administration, while Rachel worked as a translation advisor for the Rangi Translation team. Due to their family situation, they left Tanzania and immigrated to Australia in 2017. Rachel continued to work on the translation team remotely until the New Testament completion.
Jonathan currently works in finance for SIL in Tanzania remotely from Adelaide. For 15 years, Rachel has been part of the joys and trials of assisting the Rangi people in translation of the New Testament in their language. On August 31, she attended the dedication and distribution of the Rangi New Testament in Haubi, a village at the heart of the Rangi community. She looks forward to sharing with us about the dedication and showing us the completed Rangi New Testament.
